The US-ROK-Japan Trilateral Global Leadership Youth Summit is a new annual youth leadership initiative implemented by the East-West Center, with funding and support from U.S. Embassies in Seoul and Tokyo as well as the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea.
This program is for emerging leaders based in the United States, South Korea, and Japan, with additional representation from Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. From over 1100 applications, 50 delegates have been chosen to represent the United States, South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Delegates who successfully navigated the rigorous and competitive application process represent a range of academic qualifications, ages, topical focus, and regional backgrounds.
After a series of four virtual workshops, these delegates will travel to Busan, South Korea to engage in various in-person training exercises, cultural visits, and leadership development workshops over the course of three days.
This summit will give youth the unique opportunity to work together with a diverse group of their peers to discuss and act on some of the most pressing global challenges facing the world today.
This program is for emerging young leaders from the ROK, Japan and the United States, to develop global leadership skills and learn about advanced high technology exchange furthering the trilateral partnership and alliance in action towards the future.
